Disney is officially banning this major thing in all its parks, and not everyone is going to be happy
Disney Parks has a notable new regulation that may delight some vacationers and alienate others: Smoking is no longer permitted on the grounds of Walt Disney World or Disneyland. The official Disney Parks blog reported Thursday, March 28 th, that a number of new rules will go into consequence beginning May 1st, 2019.
” Smoking regions will no longer be present inside Walt Disney World or Disneyland theme parks, water parks, ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex or Downtown Disney District in California ,” the communications director wrote. She did note, however, that smokers will still have” designated smoking areas” outside the entryways of Disney parks and at Disney Springs in Florida, as well as in Disney hotels.
While likely the biggest change, the smoking regulation isn’t the only one going into impact in May. Disney is also changing its guidelines for strollers and for” loose or dry” ice. Strollers will now be required to be less than 31 inches wide and 52 inches long, and stroller wagons will no longer be allowed in the parks. Furthermore, ice is no longer admitted to membership in coolers( though thirsty guests can still pack their water bottles ).
“These updates are designed to help guest flowing and ease congestion, stimulating the parks more enjoyable for everyone ,” the post concludes.
Be sure to keep these rules in intellect before embarking on your next magical escapade. Happy Disney-ing, everyone.
